Creative Direction
Patch was created to make the brand feel warmer, more recognisable, and easier for customers to connect with, especially when communicating more complex security ideas.
I worked closely with the animation studio Epic Made, from early concept development to final animation, providing creative direction throughout the process — helping define the character’s personality, design, and visual style so that Patch felt unmistakably part of the Snyk brand.
Since launch, Patch has become a valuable marketing asset, appearing across campaigns, social content, and product storytelling. The character has been enthusiastically embraced by customers and the wider community, adding personality to the brand while helping make complex security topics more approachable and engaging.
Patch became a recognisable brand character that helped increase memorability across social campaigns and conferences.
